An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Safety and Reliability Engineer Controls (f/m/d) to join Rolls-Royce Deutschland in Dahlewitz near Berlin.

This role provides the opportunity to ensure, at all phases of an aero gas turbine lifecycle, that the Safety & Reliability attributes of the product are understood and that the risks arising from it are managed to an acceptable level. Contribute to the capability acquisition / improvement as well as to the technical and process governance of the S&R capability.

Key Accountabilities:

• Understand possible degradations and potential failure mechanisms of a gas turbine s control system, the associated consequences of the resulting failure modes and the hazards they contribute to. Where applicable, develop and deploy models to characterize them using deterministic or probabilistic / data mining techniques.
• Lead and conduct the assessment of new and derivative design solutions/architectures, product operation and maintenance practices to evaluate their impact on product Safety.
